Bionaz is a small village immersed in the stillnes of italian Alps, an ideal destination for those who are looking for rest and relax. Situated at 1600 mt above the level of the sea, in the heart of the Valpelline, it is surrounded by high peaks, some of which exceed the 4000 mt.
The municipality of Bionaz holds several glaciers, which supply various lakes, including the artificial lake of Place Moulin dam, (105 million m³ of water). In the valley there is a huge presence of wild fauna specimens (deers, chamois, steinbocks, roe deers, marmots, eagles, etc.), whereas the village represents, with its architecture, a testament of rural farming life in Aosta Valley in the last centuries.
Bionaz won’t offer you a commercial tourism, but you will find in there a priceless nature, silence and serenity. Furthermore you will be able to choose from a big variety of physical activities and sports, to enjoy the fresh air and the magnificent scenery of those mountains.
